Been Sayin' For Months Now

We should disband the stock market as it's currently constructed today. Seriously. Start over. The gambling and speculation that comprise those markets is beyond fixing.

Mine Eyes Have Seen...

Kevin was the first to remind me - no one should expect a bonus. So how is it that the Wall Street defenders seem to think that it's okay to give bonuses when businesses are failing. Literally. The argument I hear is that if a division made money, yada, yada, yada. It doesn't matter - it's still one company, isn't it?

Seriously. It's a whole new world when the POTUS actually SHARES my outrage. May be a whole new way for me to look at the news and what's happening in the world. Out with "outrage fatigue." In with "community outrage" - or is that "shared outrage." Either way, glory hallelujah.

Chance of a Lifetime

Tweeted the Inauguration - didn't blog any. But here are pictures from that amazing weekend.

How Google broke the Internet

Heading South

Using Amtrak. Arriving Union Station about 26 minutes behind Obama. At least that's what the schedule says. Then walking over to the Dubliner - where family is waiting.
Can't wait.

And good gawd...

...I haven't posted since Nov. 14 - it occurs to me that that was a week after Election Day. Is it possible I don't have anything more to be outraged about now that Bush II had been dethroned? Time will tell...

Woke Up With This Thought This Morning

I think I can trace the decline in gas prices to my moving closer to work. So when I travelled 110 miles round trip -EVERY DAY - gas approached $5 a gallon. With a 7 mile roundtrip commute, it's now under $2. Classic.
